A key deliverable in the WWA project will be the GIS datasets that will be compiled and developed. This data will be available from the participating states in the project. Some example outputs derived from the 2007 Western Colorado Wildfire Risk Assessment project are shown on the right.

Numerous GIS datasets will be compiled, developed and derived during the project. These datasets are as follows:

Government Supplied Data

ar Historical fire ignition locations
ar Historical fire reports
ar Forest assets
ar Municipal watershed values
ar Fire protection districts

Contractor Compiled Data

ar Counties
ar Congressional districts
ar Man made infrastructure (airports, schools, hospitals)
ar State and federal land ownership
arrow Roads
ar Existing vegetation type (EVT)
arrow Surface Fuels
arrow Topography (elevation, aspect, slope)
arrow Canopy cover percent
ar Canopy base height
ar Canopy bulk density
ar Canopy height
arrow Weather observation data
arrow Wildland development areas
arrow Riparian Assets

Intermediate Derived Model Output Data

ar Fire occurrence areas
ar Suppression difficulty rating
ar Values impacted rating
ar Percentile weather (non-spatial)
ar Weather influence zones

Risk Model Output Data

ar Fire Effects Index
ar Wildland Fire Susceptibility Index (wildfire threat)
ar Level of Concern Index (wildfire risk)
ar State and Regional Statistical Summaries

In future more detailed descriptions of the data available in the project will be posted.
